This natural Aragonite is a dramatic cluster of reddish-brown crystals. Look at it from any angle; it is 360 degrees of beautifully terminated crystals The crystals are called Trilling, they are an intergrowth of 3 crystals that join in the center and form a hexagonal shaped crystal. Aragonite is fluorescent with blue/white UV light, naturally occurring in cave deposits, from hot water solutions containing calcium carbonate and calcite. Aragonite is also found in cracks and cavities in hot springs and geysers .The iron gives it the reddish-brown color. Average size is 1" on the longest side. Shapes and sizes will vary. Some pieces are 'double clusters' but are sold as a single unit.
