Products ordered from Spectrum Scientifics will ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground, customer's choice. Note that some items must be shipped via UPS.

 

Actual shipping cost depends on the weight of the order, shipping distance, and the delivery address. The weight of the order is calculated during checkout and an estimate given. Please be certain to fill out everything correctly, including the residential/commercial category. Failure to do so may result in delays in processing your order.

 

Please note the shipping times listed on the products. Most products ship within 1 business day. Others may require extra time to ship depending on their circumstances – Lab furniture, for example, is built on demand and takes 5-10 business days.

Spectrum Scientifics offers FREE SHIPPING on orders of more than $80.00 of select products. Free shipping is only available for customers in the Continental US. The method of shipping for Free Shipping will be chosen by Spectrum Scientifics. Certain items will not be available for our free shipping offer due to weight, size, margins, or manufacturer conditions. Please look for the green 'Free Shipping' icon on those products.

 

Note to Alaska & Hawaii customers.

 

Most shipping to Alaska & Hawaii (and Puerto Rico) can be extremely expensive. If you would like to reduce shipping costs, and do not mind the extra shipping time we can arrange to ship US Parcel Post. This may take extra time to ship, and may incur some extra costs for drop shipped items, but the savings can be substantial over UPS or USPS Priority mail. Express Shipping

 

If you wish for items to be shipped by FEDEX or UPS Overnight or 2-day, please call us at 215-667-8309 to make arrangements. Express shipping is contingent on product availability and may not be available late in the day. Certain items, such as Lab Furniture and other items may not be shipped express. At present the website cannot handle express shipping. Please contact us to make arrangements.

 

Shipping to Canada

 

Spectrum Scientifics is happy to ship items to Canada. International shipping rates will apply and will be based on weight, distance, destination, etc. Final shipping costs will be calculated by the webstore. Please note that by contract we are not allowed to ship Orion telescopes, telescope accessories, and binoculars out of the US.  Other items may be shipped to Canada without restriction. Spectrum Scientifics is not responsible for delays or charges caused by customs.

 

International Orders.

Spectrum Scientifics welcomes international orders,however our website is not presently set up for online international shipping. We can ship items to most other countries with proper arrangements. Certain countries may not shipped to per the US State Department's regulations. All International orders must be paid in advance.

Please email [email protected] with a list of the items you wish to purchase and we will be happy to get you a quote with product costs and shipping costs. Shipping cost quotes will not includes any import taxes, duties, etc. Most international orders can be arranged using PayPal as the intermediary. International orders may also be paid with check, money order or electronic bank transfer (see below).

Note that certain items, such as plant kits, chemicals, and similar items may not be shipped internationally. Also note that your nation's electrical power will probably not work with products made for US electrical standards. In some cases there may be versions that use other electrical standards available. Certain companies warranties may be void or modified if the products are transported outside the US. Contact us for details.

Note: Spectrum Scientifics is contractually disallowed to ship Orion telescopes, binoculars and telescope accessories internationally. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Collect Shipping

In order to minimize your shipping costs, we can ship foreign or domestic orders collect using either UPS, FEDEX or DHL with proper arrangements (established freight carriers may be used when needed). The handling fee for collect orders domestically is $6, and $15 for foreign orders. Collect shipping must be done with parties with UPS, FEDEX or DHL accounts, no exceptions.

Purchase Orders

Spectrum Scientifics welcomes purchase orders with standard Net 30 terms for companies & schools that pass a credit check. Please include a credit sheet with your first order. Purchase orders may be faxed to 215-965-1524 or emailed to [email protected]. Completed W9 forms are available on request via email or fax. Spectrum will happily fill out any extra forms needed for your institution to become a vendor, please email or fax them to the numbers & addresses above.

Checks

Spectrum Scientifics accepts checks for purchases. Please note that funds must clear before items ship. Checks that are returned are subject to a service charge.

Electronic Funds Transfer

Spectrum Scientifics accepts funds transfers as payment. Note that a $15 fee applies for international wire transfers. Domestic wire transfers are at no extra charge. Please contact us for details.
