Amethyst is a form of purple-colored quartz. These pieces are tumbled smooth and purple in color with variation shadings of matrix material. Each piece is at least 1" on its longest side, but overall size and shape will vary with each sample. Price is per piece.

Selenite is a form of gypsum whose crystal structure forms long 'rods' or fibers that are capable of transmitting light via internal reflection much like fiber optic cable. These are short (1"-3" long) pieces of selenite, good for collections or experiments.

Not that selenite can be fragile and can 'shed' sharp fibers and so should be kept out of the hands of children. Price is per piece.
